SARAS Aajeevika Event:Craft. Culture. Community.

India’s rural heart pulses with creativity, resilience, and tradition — and nowhere is that more evident than at the SARAS Aajeevika Event. Held from 7th to 23rd October 2022 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, it was a vivid display of India’s diverse rural craftsmanship — all driven by women artisans from self‑help groups (SHGs).

What is the SARAS Aajeevika Event?

Organized by the Ministry of Rural Development in collaboration with NIRDPR (National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj), this biannual event brings together artisans from across India. Around 300 craftswomen representing 26 states participated, displaying products across 150 stalls.

The event highlights:

  • Handloom, handicraft, home décor, jewelry, and natural food products
  • Live cultural performances and workshops to build SHG capacities

🎨 Graphisads’ Role: Bringing It to Life

While the event spotlight was on the artisans, the immersive experience was orchestrated behind the scenes by Graphisads Limited. Known for partnering on government campaigns and large-scale public events, Graphisads provided end-to-end event management services for this edition .

Their contributions included:

  • Designing vibrant branding and installations throughout Pragati Maidan
  • Managing event logistics: stall layout, visitor flow, signages, and registration
  • Overseeing media promotion and visual storytelling to highlight SHG Didis
  • Supporting capacity-building sessions and workshops that empowered artisans
